October Happenings in the E.A.T. Kitchen

Busy, busy, busy is what I have been in October! Let's take a look at what has been cooking and happening in the E.A.T. kitchen!

Above, we've got the makings for a pumpkin hummus. Look out for the recipe coming to Relay Foods on their Simple Living Blog later this week.

You can find one of my favorite (and surprisingly easy) methods for cooking a whole fish recently published over on Lot18. This salt-encrusted baked fish comes out perfect every time, you won't believe it until you try it:

You can also find my method for a perfect roast chicken over on Lot18 — it's one of those welcoming fall comfort meals. The pan gravy this roast chicken creates is so rich and warming. It also makes your house smell amazing!

And finally, over on 17 Apart we have been working on some apple fruit leather. The peelings will make for a homemade apple cider vinegarwhich will be just the right touch to our table over the holidays with some fresh local greens!

It's certainly been smelling and tasting like fall around here — what favorite seasonal recipes have you been whipping up this month?

As always,

E.A.T. local E.A.T. well
