E.A.T. (The Title) Giveaway

***Update: This giveaway has ended, find the lucky winner at the bottom of the post. Stay tuned for future giveaways right here at E.A.T.! ***

So people often ask me what does E.A.T. stand for? Well if I had it to do over again I would have chosen something different — you see "EAT" is already taken as a url and of course you cannot use the acronym eat with periods. So technically my blog is timvidraeats.com but people always approach and say, "you write the E.A.T. blog, right?" and of course my response is always a blushing and humble yes.

So back to the original question, what does E.A.T. stand for? It really doesn't stand for anything other than my passion for all things food related and I have often tried to come up up with something. My son Brandon came up with a couple clever ones way back when like "Edible And Tasty" and "Everything Always Tasty."

So here is where the giveaway comes in!

I have been eyeing my very own E.A.T sign from the fine folks at Slippin Southern and I finally gotten my oven mits around one for the kitchen. It really is a great rustic-feeling piece of art which I have been proudly displaying in the kitchen as you can see from the photo above! I'm so happy with it in fact, I'm giving one away (a $28 value) to a lucky winner in the color of your choice (as offered by Slippin' Southern). There are multiple ways to enter — all the details are below.

Now down to business:
To enter, simply visit Slippin Southern and come back to leave a comment on this post telling me which color sign you like best and where it would fit in your home.

Each of the following will earn you an additional entry:
  • "Like" E.A.T on Facebook , and or follow me on Twitter — then leave 2 separate comments on this post for each letting me know you've done so.
  • Share this post by clicking the Facebook Like button at the top of the post and leave a new comment on this post letting me know you've done so.
  • Tweet about the giveaway including the following: "@TimVidraEats is giving away an E.A.T. sign from @SlippinSouthern take a look: http://tinyurl.com/ckazetf " with anything else you'd like to include - then leave a new comment on this post letting me know you've done so.
  •  Follow this blog by clicking the RSS button in the right sidebar and leave a new comment on this post letting me know.
  • Tell me a definition of what the E.A.T acronym could mean to you.

The giveaway will end Monday, May 28th, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST; the winner will be auto-generated using Random.org and updated in this post shortly thereafter. I will contact you asking what color EAT sign best fits your decor and it will then be shipped directly to you.

Be sure to come back for a visit to find out the winner and good luck!

***Update: This giveaway has ended, the lucky winner is commenter #139, AmbreRose, who says E.A.T. stands for Everyone's Appetite Tackled!  Thanks to all that participated and stay tuned for future giveaways right here at E.A.T.! ***

As always,

E.A.T. local E.A.T. well

  91. Why do I really want this sign? We have a DIY kitchen my husband put a 1000 hours into, and I'd love to treat him (see, EAT is inside TREAT) with a big sign to hang over his hand-crafted reclaimed shelves to honor his hard work. To me, E.A.T. means Eat Always Together, and that's the spirit of our kitchen--finally one nice and big enough to invite friends, one and all, to join us.

P.S. I'm following on twitter and pinterest.
