Sunday Supper "Fried Chicken"

I have had on my mind for the longest time that I would fry some chicken. Mom used to fry chicken and rarely (prove me wrong) do you hear of people frying their own chicken. Well I must say that I have forgotten what fresh chicken tastes like. I hope these photos take you back to a time when mom was frying chicken. Scroll to the bottom for the recipe Y'all.

This fried chicken recipe was compliments of Paula Deen and I must say it is a do over!

Recipe Tip: When you take the chicken parts out of the oil, put them on a cooling rack for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a warm oven while the rest of the chicken cooks.

Everything "Mise en Place" for this recipe!

  2. Photos are great. I want to print them out and eat them. It's still grilling season so I'm gonna file this away for late fall.

K - Where you live are you sure it was chicken and not an armadillo?
